The Faithful Brothers Club of Wilson and the C.H. Darden Alumni Association will present the End of Summer All-White Affair from 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, to 1 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Darden Alumni Center, 1600 Lipscomb Road E.

The BYOB event will feature musical entertainment from DJ Swurve on the 1s and 2s. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Conservative Wilson Women to meet

The Conservative Wilson Women will meet at noon Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Wilson Elks Lodge, 2814 Fieldstream Drive N.

Tea and water will be provided. Lunch will be available for purchase from the Elks Lodge. All conservatives are welcome, and attendees are encouraged to bring friends.

Republican women’s group plans meeting

Joy Ruhmann, North Carolina state director for Convention of States Action, will address the Tar River Republican Women during a meeting planned from 5:45-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Parker’s Barbecue, 2514 U.S. 301 S.

Rotarians plan charity golf tourney

The Elm City Rotary Club will hold its Boy Scouts of America charity golf tournament Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Wedgewood Public Golf Course in Wilson. Registration opens at noon followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Foursomes can participate for $200, or $50 per player. Hole sponsorships are $100. Tee busters and mulligans will be sold for $5 each. The two winning teams will win cash prizes, and the club will hold prize drawings for a black powder revolver and a Gamo Whisper air rifle.

Free lab screenings available for men

The “Men, Know Your Numbers” event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Jackson Chapel First Missionary Baptist Church, 571 Nash St. SE.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Free laboratory health screenings include prostate, A1C, cholesterol and lipid panels. Lunch will be provided, and guest speakers include Dr. Eric Wallen, Phil Ford and Victor Taylor.

Community health fair set for Sept. 16

Audacious Women of Faith will hold a community health fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Salvation Army of Wilson, 112 Hines St. W.

Free health screenings include blood pressure, mental wellness, cholesterol, HIV tests, dental checks, diabetes, blood and substance misuse consultation. Organizers will provide a health demonstration and offer information on volunteer opportunities.

Agencies that will be represented include Carolina Family Health Centers, the Wilson County Health Department, Dress for Success, the Wilson County Substance Prevention Coalition, YOUTH of Wilson and Eastpointe Mental Health.

50th Golden Trojan Plus reunion planned

The class of 1973 will hold a 50th Golden Trojan Plus reunion on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Darden Alumni Center, 1600 Lipscomb Road E.
